Increased coverage, a reliable backbone, and zero slowdown
Mt. Hood Skibowl + Edge Networks
Connected skiers, happy homeowners and increased revenue.
“I don’t believe some of the bigger providers know what customer service means, but with edgefi, it’s one of the absolute strong points. I have one phone call and you can’t beat it when you know who’s on the other side of the phone.”

The Challenge
Mt. Hood Skibowl is an outdoor recreational destination, including two resort spaces, 199 rental units and 960 acres of terrain. They’re the largest night ski area in the United States and a premier destination for anyone visiting Oregon.
With a high volume of visitors, a large landscape, and a growing interest in rentals, Mt. Hood Skibowl needed a fast, scalable and reliable network. That’s where edgefi comes in.
The Process
Our team built a robust infrastructure, including a 10 gig backbone with over 250,000 sq ft of coverage. With a scalable approach, slowdown during busier network times is no longer an issue.
Not only does this provide coverage for skiers and snowboarders during the day, but it allows the 199 property homeowners to provide reliable internet for their guests.
The Results
The coverage speaks for itself, but the intangible benefits of confidence and peace of mind are where we have made the biggest impact. With the new network, Mt. Hood Skibowl can focus on its business and continue its expansion plans, particularly with rentals.
The best partnerships are ongoing. If there’s ever an issue, it’s just one call, and we’re on it! We continue to provide support and maintenance to ensure the best coverage possible for Mt. Hood Skibowl and make recommendations for innovation.
